After spending the majority of my working life lecturing in Surface Design for the University of The Arts, London I took early retirement in 2009, deciding to live in Bishops Castle, Shropshire.
Since then I have enjoyed exploring various forms of printmaking, settling on linocuts and collagraphs as my methods of choice. My inspiration tends to be from objects, places or people that have an emotional effect on me. For instance, lately I have been documenting favourite vintage or flea market finds. My original hand pulled linocuts and collagraphs are on sale at various selected galleries throughout the UK.
I have published four books to date:-
'1000 Patterns', published by A & C Black
'Patterns, New Surface Design', published by Laurence King
'Textiles Now',published by Laurence King
'The Pattern Sourcebook', published by Laurence King
