Based on a painting of a still life I set up at home, this Reduction linocut features yet another one of my vintage jugs and ceramic plates plus a small wooden model of a seagull. I chose to cut a random squiggly pattern around the plate to set it off.
This reduction linocut process uses one piece of lino and a set number of pieces of paper. The lino is carved for each colour and printed by placing the lino exactly over the previous print. As the block is destroyed during the process, a reduction print can never be reprinted.
