- I decided to change my Tulip Vase linocut - I wasn't happy with the balance of the design. So I recut the block and removed the pattern on the vase. Then I cut two new blocks - one of a spotty vase and the other of the flowers ( that took ages!). I hand printed them using small rollers and Japanese paper.
These are some of the actual plates that I have used to create the images. At present I am using lino - the green is extra thick lino the grey is battleship lino. Both types of lino need warming before working on them - I often use a hotwater bottle underneath it as I cut!
Below are a few pics of my printing a lithograph on the ancient press housed in a barn at the Rodd - see http://www.sidneynolantrust.org/pages/print.php for more info on their workshops etc.
