Touching the Void Collagraphs
These original collagraphs were inspired by the book and film 'Touching The Void' by Joe Simpson, which describes the traumatic adventures that occurred when Joe and his climbing partner Simon Yates descended in appalling weather after their success in reaching the summit of Siula Grande in the Peruvian Alps.
My artwork was created in a direct response to the fortitude and courage shown by Joe who, although he was badly injured in a fall, managed to crawl back to their base camp and survive.
